Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina.
A while ago, my brother bought me a GoPro for my birthday, I loved it. I had no idea how to use it, so I spent all my spare time learning about it. I found so many tutorials on Youtube about how to get the best shots with this action camera. After a while I got bored and searched for inspiration and a reason to be better at this videography thing. So I started following, extreme sporting athletes and their journeys on social media. one of the athletes I followed was John Jackson a famous snowboarder for Burton, GoPro and Redbull. He seemed to embody the natural aspect of the sport and had a connection with the places he was visiting. He had a series with Redbull on youtube called brothers on the run where he his brother and a few of their close friends would travel from their home in Alaska surfing and snowboarding all the way down to South America on "the longest navigable road in the world" the trans America highway, unfortunately they didn't get to complete their trip, due to technical and equipment issues.
Since those days I have been inspired to do this trip for myself, never really knowing how to pull something like this off I waited and waited until the time was right. Until one day I realized there is no such thing as the right time. I have no particular skill in doing something like this, so naturally, I decided that I'm just gonna go for it.
During the trip I will be embedded in all the cultures that exist within the Americas. I'm searching for that deeper connection to nature and people that inspire everything that I do. I want to spread the word and help people understand how we use energy to get around and the choices we make as a society for the future of us as a species and a planet.
